About The Position

This position is responsible for inspecting finished goods to ensure stamping, packaging, and labeling standards are met. The role requires adherence to all safety rules and guidelines, producing products that meet Umicore quality standards and customer specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position also involves other duties as assigned, working 12-hour continental shifts, and committing to upholding, respecting, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Actively promoting a culture of care through collaboration on preventative measures and continuous improvement actions related to health and safety activities is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma
• 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy – Preferably with Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
• Criminal Record Check required
• Highly motivated
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to show initiative and innovative thinking
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Ability to work alone

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of 5S a plus
• Knowledge of SAP and experience in quality environment systems are preferred
• Batch-making experience is an asset
