Job Summary Summary The Product Specialist reports to Associate Operations Supervisor and is responsible for supporting production operations by developing, maintaining, and continually improving assembly processes. This role serves as a technical resource to manufacturing teams, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The Product Specialist works cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Support to troubleshoot issues, introduce new products, and implement process optimizations. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with assembly processes are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve assembly processes to support efficient production operations.
  • Review and update process specifications to ensure accuracy and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to drive process improvements, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production schedule and process‑related issues, ensuring timely closure.
  • Support Engineering and Development Labs with new product introductions and development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO requirements, and internal business controls.
  • Create and maintain production‑ready documentation (MPIs), including equipment setup and programming instructions.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment performance through setups, calibrations, alignments, and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Assist operators by answering questions, demonstrating work instructions, and performing spot checks to maintain product quality.
  • Partner with manufacturing support to stay current on process and equipment changes and to implement operational improvements.
