As a Production Specialist – Kitting (3rd Shift) employee with John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will perform kitting duties in accordance with pre-established labor and quality standards. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: Perform inventory transactions for all areas including Kanban. Perform kitting/prepping as required by manufacturing processes. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Understand and apply 5S principles. Perform general operation and setup of equipment. Perform general preventative maintenance and calibrations when required. Pull jobs and parts for open jobs. Prep parts in accordance with prepping manuals and MWI. Maintain equipment log. Assist and support other team members. Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. OR National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) OR At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
Ability and willingness to operate a stock picker and working up to 10 feet above the ground.
Ability and willingness to operate a forklift and maintain applicable certification.
Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

Nice To Haves

Current experience as a contingent worker in a similar role at John Deere Fargo demonstrating strong performance and attendance.
At least 1 year of prior work experience in an assembly, shipping, receiving, or warehouse role that includes forklift operations experience.
