About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Production Specialist to perform precision manufacturing and assembly operations in their Cesium Beam Tube (CBT) cleanroom. This role involves assembling, wiring, and spot-welding small components using various hand tools and specialized production equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to perform precise, hands-on work. While previous manufacturing experience is beneficial, it is not required as comprehensive training will be provided. This is a first shift position, operating from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0-3 years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or related hands-on experience.
Comfortable working with hand tools.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to perform detailed and repetitive work.
Ability to wear required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment.
Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive and detailed hand movements.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).

Nice To Haves

Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing, automotive, mechanical, electrical, or technical environment.
Experience with wiring, spot welding, and/or precision assembly.
Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
