About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, expeditiously, and accurately into and/or out of the facility. The role involves preparing merchandise for the wash floor, verifying and sorting items, documenting ruined or damaged merchandise, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Work takes place in a warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to move or maneuver slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, and press at shoulder level and below waist area.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verify merchandise type and quantity on the PUC card and segregate like items together in a sling.
• Identify, count, and total ruined or damaged merchandise and record it on the PUC card.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
