About The Position

The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising production operations to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals for the assigned department and shift. This role involves coordinating production activities with Superintendents and/or Plant Managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The supervisor will also support customer requests, identify and eliminate root causes of defective products, and ensure operators are trained and certified for their tasks. Leadership and training are key components, focusing on integrity, respect, trust, operator engagement, skill development, and ownership of responsibilities. The role also includes maintaining an organized and clean department and implementing Lean Manufacturing methods.

Requirements

  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
  • Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field required; or combination of education and 1-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a well-organized individual that can manage multiple tasks and problem solve.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with both the direct and indirect workforce.
  • Computer/MS Office skills.
  • Should have working experience with the company planning and scheduling system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
