About The Position

Arxada is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for its Williamsport, Pennsylvania location. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. The supervisor will guide and develop shift employees, act as management representation on off-shifts, and coordinate emergency response efforts. The company offers innovative solutions in areas like Microbial Control Solutions and Nutrition, Care & Environmental products.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-10 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Provide oversight to employees in the production process areas.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and complete work safely.
  • Computer skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Must pass pulmonary and full face respiratory fit testing requirements.
  • Must meet any other medical and physical requirements such as the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing and working on elevated platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead housekeeping inspections and ensure high standards.
  • Lead EHS initiatives including inspections, safety observation programs, SOAR cards, updating standard operating procedures, and carrying out risk assessments.
  • Issue and ensure compliance with the permit to work system.
  • Enforce, coach, and train on Quality / GMP Compliance.
  • Resolve identified issues and help close GMP gaps identified from audits.
  • Support investigations and resolutions for customer complaints and First Time Quality issues.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities, including call-in procedures, scheduling repairs, and issuing safe work permits.
  • Ensure the daily production schedule is met.
  • Align workforce headcount to meet workload, covering absences, holidays, or additional working needs.
  • Manage performance, ensuring compliance with relevant Company policy and procedure, and taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Oversee new hire training and the ongoing training and competence of existing employees.
