About The Position

The Production Set-Up Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials, components, and hardware are accurately staged, issued, tracked, and delivered to manufacturing departments. This position helps maintain production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time order fulfillment while supporting quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including measurements and conversions.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Understanding and support Company policies and procedures.
  • Safety conscious behavior.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work with various types of material handling constraints with guidance.
  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
  • Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying, labeling, stocking, and tracking materials and supplies.
  • Issue materials, hardware, and components to production jobs.
  • Receive, transfer, and document movement of materials between departments.
  • Maintain in-process inventory at assigned work centers.
  • Record inventory transactions and material locations accurately.
  • Pull and verify materials according to production orders and specifications.
  • Ensure products are staged in the correct quantity, length, orientation, and configuration.
  • Assist with product assembly as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to by Management.
  • Report quality, production, equipment, or material concerns to supervisors.
  • Participate in basic quality control activities and documentation.
  • Perform operator-level preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
  • Safely move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment through proper packaging, labeling, and handling.
