About The Position

Work with customers throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure successful scoping, onboarding and experience. Provide guidance in large scale design and implementation to Apple's internal customers. Review software source code and system architectures to identify defects and performance issues. Troubleshoot large complex multi-tiered applications (Network tier/Application tier/Database tier) to timely resolution. Perform in-depth log analysis through Apple's preferred log analysis tool (Splunk). File defects and track resolution to timelines. Track customer experience from presale, onboarding and to established use. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 - $245,800/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Requirements

  • Utilizing Unix or Linux shell scripting, including Bash or Korn to automate debug log analysis.
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity and latency issues using utilities like ping, traceroute, netstat, DNS, and telnet in a distributed system environment.
  • Writing complex SQL queries in databases like Postgres or MySQL for data retrieval and reporting.
  • Utilizing Version control systems like Git or SVN for managing software development life cycle.
  • Using containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for packaging and running applications in virtualized environments.
  • Leveraging systems administration in a production environment, such as Windows, and Linux operating systems like RHEL or Ubuntu.
  • Utilizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins to automate distributed application deployment.
