About The Position

Richmond Professional Lab, the commercial photofinishing lab for Richmond Camera Shop, is hiring seasonal employees for its Production Department through late November. The lab edits images, prints, collates photo packages, and ships orders nationwide. Seasonal roles will involve small and large photo printing, mounted images, and canvas printing. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience is needed. End dates are flexible and can be coordinated based on volume.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running roll-fed or sheet-fed photo printers, changing paper rolls, inks, unloading finished prints from trays, and stack cutting images.
• Assist in running press printers which produce greeting cards, calendars, baseball cards and other similar products.
• Help package press orders and match products with invoices.
• Assist with printing large-scale images printed on paper rolls, cutting them down to size, and packaging images within tubes or sandwiched chipboards.
• Adhere printwork to hardback or substrate, using either heat or cold presses.
• Assist with Senior Photo frames, big head/yard sign printing, and plaque printing.
• Assist in heat pressing images onto photo gift items such as mugs, keychains, and holiday ornaments.
• Use Adobe Photoshop to trace outline images for laser cutting, using acrylic boards and packaging techniques to make various statues, keychains, and ornaments.
• Assist in printing and assembling canvas gallery wraps and vinyl grommet banners.
