Manages the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories, tracking of progress of production, and reviewing of factors which affect production schedules. The Production Scheduling Manager directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve the production scheduling function. This role analyzes incoming production order requirements and oversees the master manufacturing schedule for assigned site(s) to assure exceptional customer service and optimal manufacturing efficiencies. The manager monitors materials inventory to effectively determine production schedules, communicates upcoming scheduling conflicts with key stakeholders and recommends solutions, and collaborates with the Operations team to forecast production labor overtime requirements. Additionally, the role analyzes daily back-log business reports to monitor workload and capacity requirements, and communicates schedule status and other related scheduling information at daily production meetings. The Production Scheduling Manager also drives continuous improvement initiatives for the production scheduling process and information flow.
