About The Position

The Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling internally produced products throughout the manufacturing area and supporting the accurate and timely processing of production orders. This position serves as a primary resource for questions related to internally produced orders and works collaboratively with manufacturing, originating departments, and internal customers to support production workflow and order accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in order processing, production scheduling, customer service, or a related field required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP PP/DS Planning Board preferred.
  • Knowledge of print/bind manufacturing, scheduling processes, and related production workflows.
  • Proficiency using a personal computer and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn, adapt to, and effectively use internal systems, tools, and applications required to support order processing and production scheduling.
  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate order information with originating departments, manufacturing associates, internal customers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Schedule and route custom, stock, marketing, and internally produced orders using SAP PP/DS and other internal systems to support efficient manufacturing workflows.
  • Prepare, process, maintain, and distribute production-related documentation, including print orders, proof packets, proof approvals, change orders, schedules, and related records.
  • Prepare and distribute daily production schedules to manufacturing work centers and maintain workflow visibility throughout the production process.
  • Monitor production capacity, identify and communicate constraints, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support on-time shipment of orders.
  • Provide customer service support for internally produced orders by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating follow-up actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control to determine production quantities and support production planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and records for print orders and related production documentation.
