About The Position

The Production Scheduler I works as part of a team ensuring production targets are met and inventory is in place to satisfy customer demand. Partners with Customer Service organization, Production, and Purchasing team to ensure demand fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field desired
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Knowledge of and experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Infor LN desired
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems
  • Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and take direction from others
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of collaboration with internal customers required
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and can work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods
  • Stand or sit for long periods
  • Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas

Responsibilities

  • Work with Buyers and Production to identify and resolve gaps and shortages for upcoming production builds.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to expedite builds and smooth factory loading
  • Work with others to monitor and optimize inventory levels for work-in-process and finished goods, against service level agreements and customer orders
  • Release schedule to Production to ensure both customer ship dates and Biamp stocking levels are supported to expected service levels
  • Identify actual and potential delivery issues: working with extended team to drive issues to resolution
  • Act as a Supply Chain Representative in the daily production meeting, advising and addressing production obstacles
  • Partner with the Customer Service group to correctly date customer orders and ensure those commitments are met
  • Act as a Planning representative for the ECO process, monitoring Bill of Material changes and managing BOM effectivity dates
  • At times, reviewing item master settings such as safety stock and trigger levels and makes recommendations on needed changes
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager
  • Contribute to team effort by preforming other job-related tasks as needed; enabling others to achieve their job objectives
