About The Position
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Scheduler is accountable for creating and maintaining the overall Master Production Schedule (MPS), to meet operational and customer requirements and to ensure the optimal utilization of company resources. They are also accountable for, incumbent balances, raw supply, and production to ensure operational requirements align with sales forecasts and customer orders. The position works closely with the Plant Manager to coordinate planning of activities.
Requirements
- Strong Relevant education in production planning.
- 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with specific exposures to planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes.
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Ensures operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Develop daily and weekly production schedules using the capacity plan: Plan and schedule workflows and operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Responsible for the integration/alignment of sales forecasts, raw material in process, and finished goods inventories, equipment capacities and staffing to meet production targets requirements.
- Adjusts schedule to meet changing needs (e.g. equipment breakdowns).
