The production reliever must be capable of contributing to all phases of the production process. Included is the operation of automated production equipment, primary diagnosis of machinery failures, aiding with preventative maintenance, and sanitation of equipment. Production Relievers are expected to be competent to make production decisions concerning the preflight and operation of equipment. Must be flexible and adaptable, as they may be required to rotate job assignments throughout production. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Production Reliever to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment for themselves and their fellow co-workers. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, food safety and/or quality.

Requirements

Operation of automated production equipment
Primary diagnosis of machinery failures
Aiding with preventative maintenance
Sanitation of equipment
Competent to make production decisions concerning the preflight and operation of equipment

Responsibilities

Must have completed training on positions for Production Helper, Mixer operator, Mixer Helper, Bag Dump Operator and Oven Operator.
Report equipment malfunctions to foreman, supervisor and maintenance personnel.
Maintain a high level of sanitation and GMP's by ensuring that work areas are clean and that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are fully complied with by sweeping and wiping down equipment.
Performs other duties in different areas of the production as necessary.
Assists in training of new employees or employees who change job classifications.
Responsible for the Quality and Food Safety functions within designated department and as assigned by management and the Quality Department.
Promote safety in the work area by understanding and complying with safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner regardless of the severity.

Report to work physical and mentally ready to do the job in a substance free environment.
Stage materials using RFGen/SAP.
