About The Position

The Relief Supervisor will receive direction from Production Supervisors, Production Manager, Production Superintendent and Process Engineers. The DuPont 12-hour shift schedule is a 4-week, 4-team rotation for 24/7 coverage. It involves 12-hour shifts—often 7 am–7 pm and 7 pm–7 am—where employees work 4 consecutive nights, 3 days off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 nights on, 3 days off, 4 days on, and 7 consecutive days off.

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong decision skills, with the ability to function successfully in a stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years supervisory experience or 5 years working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operating the plant to provide the maximum operating time and production within the established environmental limits and quality standards.
• Following company standard operating procedures for plant operations while ensuring efficient utilization of equipment.
• Ensuring all employees and contractors conduct their tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and MSHA regulations.
• Keeping records of equipment operation and reasons for production delays in the company database software.
• Working closely with the Process Engineer to implement continuous improvement of the plant operation.
• The safety, work direction, co-ordination of the Control Room Operators.
• Directing personnel to ensure the orderly operation of the plant.
