About The Position

Nico Products is seeking a Production Racker for their Metal Finishing facility in Minneapolis, MN. This is a full-time, direct-hire position on the 1st shift, working Monday-Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime as needed. The role involves preparing metal parts for the plating and metal-finishing process by attaching them to specialized racks before processing and removing them afterward. You will also inspect and handle parts carefully, and follow detailed work instructions. While no prior metal finishing experience is required as training will be provided, the company is looking for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on work, can follow instructions, take pride in their work, and are motivated to earn and learn. The position offers opportunities for increased annual earnings through overtime, a weekly attendance reward, profit sharing, and a signing bonus. This role is an entry point into the metal-finishing industry with potential for advancement for employees who demonstrate strong attendance, quality, work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • Must be able to consistently be at work and ready to begin at 5:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Rack and unrack metal parts before and after plating or finishing.
  • Read and follow job paperwork and written work instructions.
  • Select and use the proper racks and tooling for each job.
  • Handle customer parts carefully to prevent damage.
  • Inspect parts for obvious defects or concerns.
  • Maintain an efficient production pace while protecting quality.
  • Keep parts organized and properly identified throughout the process.
  • Follow established safety, quality and production procedures.
  • Work with your team to keep production moving.
  • Perform other related production duties as assigned.
