About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production standards. This role involves maintaining a clean work area, ensuring safety and quality throughout the production process, and performing manual and visual quality inspections. The operator will also be responsible for cleaning equipment and their assigned area, sorting products as needed, and assisting in changeovers. Cross-training across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers, and/or slitters is expected. The operator will work directly with team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals and perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in a fast-paced, Manufacturing Environment
Willingness and ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and other levels of the organization to create a positive, team-oriented environment
Ability to read and write in English
Basic Math skills such as addition, subtraction and taking measurements
Willingness to work evening or night shift and weekends as needed based on business need

Responsibilities

Operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
Meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
Ensure safety and quality throughout the production process, including following all safety procedures
Perform manual and visual quality inspection of products as assigned
Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift
Sort product as needed to ensure quality shipments
Assist in changeovers when needed
Cross-train across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers and/or slitters
Work directly with team members to meet all safety, quality and productivity goals
Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
