About The Position

The Production Quality Assurance Specialist performs quality-control activities across all production farms. This role completes required regulatory testing, inspections, audits, and animal welfare observations; documents and reviews production records; and helps ensure operations meet regulatory requirements and animal welfare standards. The specialist partners with Farm Managers to address any deviations or discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Production FDA SE Program and AI Monitoring Program, including testing, record review, and record keeping.
• Conduct animal welfare observations during flock events and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Complete and maintain Animal Welfare Incident Reports and Corrective Action Reports; support root-cause problem solving and verify corrective actions.
• Partner with the QA Manager to ensure processes and products meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and third-party audit standards.
• Perform monthly farm inspections and monitoring checks (for example, environmental monitoring).
• Inspect and calibrate monitoring equipment, as assigned.
• Keep accurate, complete, and timely records.
• Perform other duties as assigned, with appropriate training.
