About The Position

Avery Dennison Corporation is a global materials science and digital identification solutions company. This role involves performing standard and moderately complex set-ups and operations for custom and standard supply products on a flexographic press. The operator will be responsible for shade, tone, and hue variations, print registration, and multiple die-cutting stations. Key duties include interpreting order specifications, performing set-ups, operations, general and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and housekeeping related to the flexographic press. Experience with turret and fanfold operations is also required, including standard set-ups and production. The role may involve working independently or with team members and may require rotation. Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and moderately complex set-ups and operations for custom and standard supply products on a flexographic press.
  • Manage shade, tone, and hue variations, print registration, and multiple die-cutting stations.
  • Interpret order specifications and perform standard and moderate set-ups, operations, general and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety related housekeeping.
  • Perform standard set-ups and production for turret and fanfold operations.
  • Assist and learn printing techniques and operations.
  • Operate machine under supervision or guidance of Print Op III.
  • Sort, label, and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices.
  • Inspect general appearance of finished product.
  • Keep area supplied with necessary materials.
  • Prepare support for machine operators (mount plates tools or print, support staging of setup, clean up ink stations).
  • Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations.
  • Track multiple orders being packed at one time.
  • Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Perform 5S duties and audits.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
  • Participate in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
