About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Supervisor to lead production planning and scheduling operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that production plans align with customer demand, operational capacity, and delivery commitments while driving efficiency across the supply chain. As a key member of the operations team, you will collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain partners to optimize production performance, improve processes, and support business growth. Requirements

  • 5-8 years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, demand forecasting, and supply-demand balancing.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, including Sage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the short-term production scheduling process to meet customer demand and on-time delivery objectives.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, making adjustments based on labor, material, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with Operations teams to drive schedule adherence, improve production performance, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities by providing production insights, capacity assessments, and execution feedback.
  • Convert demand forecasts into actionable production and capacity plans.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to establish production priorities.
  • Work closely with inventory and sourcing teams to ensure material availability and maintain inventory targets.
  • Manage planning data within ERP systems and generate production and planning performance reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing principles, operational efficiency, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production planning and scheduling personnel.
