About The Position

Production Planning works closely with the Operations team defining production schedules to fulfill customer demand. This is accomplished by configuring our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to outline the requirements and process steps needed to produce conforming products, analyze customer orders, investigate raw materials, create and issue work orders, schedule Work Centers and Machines, manage outside processes, address expedite requests, and ensure timely shipment to our end customer. The Production Planning Specialist will be expected to provide support for Operations, Inside Sales, Quality and Process Engineering both during production meetings and in real time.

This position will be integral in meeting company metrics for On Time Delivery, past due orders and inventory goals. It requires creativity, foresight, and attention to detail. The position also requires great interpersonal skills to work with the operations and quality teams to ensure that customer needs are met, thus keeping Perryman Company known as a leader within titanium manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in supply chain management or related field; and three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
• Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to stay organized and manage priorities.
• Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an ERP systems, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage production schedules within the Titanium Operations facilities
• Interface with internal team members on material status and production planning issues
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule
• Develop and change process routings for new products and specification updates
• Review and distribute production schedules
• Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels and costs
• Develop cost effective measures to achieve exceptional business practices
