About The Position

The Production Planning Analyst II is responsible for managing inventory planning for raw material through finished goods, ensuring inventory is maintained at optimal levels so company goals and customer requirements are met. The incumbent oversees and reviews the demand forecast and master production schedule; reviews material requirements to ensure materials are provided according to schedule; ensures physical inventories and cycle counts are done and discrepancies identified and understood; provides input regarding the production impact of design changes, labor and/or material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions; and ensures accurate documentation. In addition, support new product development with coordination of pilot builds and work orders to support these builds. This position reports to the Manager-Materials Planning and is part of the Consumables Planning team located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Develop production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of materials, and manufacturing capacity. Identify and maintain appropriate planning parameters in the Oracle Cloud and Oracle EBS system to optimize finished good, subassembly, and raw material supply plans. Partner with Development and new product teams for product launches. Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at improving planning tools and capabilities as well as improving intermediate and finished good inventory levels. Work with key stakeholders to leverage data to drive process improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 2+ years of experience in Procurement or a closely related field, or Master’s Degree with 0+ years of experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume work environment using interpersonal leadership skills
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud working knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, PowerPoint, Excel, or Power BI with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment managing conflicting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.).
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing processes
