About The Position

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing customer orders and coordinating production processes. You will ensure that all production requirements are accurately documented and released to the floor, acting as a liaison between the production and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with formal ERP systems; Epicor 10 experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret customer engineering specifications and drawings to determine product and quality requirements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to skillfully plan and organize functions.
  • Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the production schedule for the assigned work centers as generated through the demands of the Master Production Schedule.
  • Communicate directly with Work Center Leads or Floor Lead to ensure schedules are understood and issues are addressed
  • Analyze capacity demands within assigned areas and communicate issues as needed.
  • Communicate production status and schedule changes with Production management and Sales.
  • Manage production expedites, rescheduling, and re-planning, when required, in support of Customer priorities.
  • Analyze materiel requirements for the assigned work centers and communicate with the Purchasing team directly to ensure material is available in support of the production plan.
  • Review all new customer orders with management to determine commit dates and quantities.
  • Enter Top Level and Component inventory jobs for all production requirements.
  • Print and prepare all job documentation, including Traveler and Drawings, for release to the floor.
  • Act as a production liaison to the engineering team, reviewing job drawings and documents to ensure proper revision levels, work center locations, and material call outs are correct.
  • Coordinate the release of materials to the floor by reviewing job start dates.
  • Manage updates and redistribution of job documentation when revision changes are initiated.
