About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the flow of materials between production stages to ensure the efficient production of Ichor products. This role involves reviewing production schedules, anticipating material needs, and providing input to management for rescheduling due to various interruptions. The planner will also manage Work-In-Progress (WIP) variances and change activities at the work order level, collaborating with manufacturing and stores for accurate material management. The position requires independent work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Knowledge of operating and scheduling procedures and processes.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Solid knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Advanced experience using MRP, Oracle and Agile systems.
CPIM or APICS Certification.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials between production stages in producing Ichor products.
Review production schedules to anticipate required materials, equipment and supplies.
Provide input to management to reschedule in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Manage WIP variances at the work order level and work with manufacturing production and stores to ensure timely and accurate material management.
Manage change activity to WIP jobs at the work order level.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
