About The Position

Philly’s Best Steak Company Inc. is a leading Philadelphia area meat processing facility specializing in the manufacturing of Philly style steak products. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. The Production Planner responsibilities include reviewing customer orders, monitoring inventory levels, building and maintaining production schedules across multiple lines, regularly providing updates to changes and facilitating on-time shipping to our customers. We will also require you to demonstrate excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure operations run smoothly.

Requirements

Proven experience working as a production planner.
Execution, planning, scheduling control.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Good oral & written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service skills.
Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field is preferred.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is preferred, specifically APTEAN ERP.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Establish, coordinate, and organize customer requirements for the production lines.
Management of the short-term production planning for slicing.
Communicate and commit product availability dates to the Team.
Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
Communicate with the VP of OPS, VP of Sales, Fulfillment Lead, Logistics Admin., and Operations regarding any impacts to orders.
Keep Procurement informed of any sudden demand changes.
Aid in identifying customer patterns and alert sales team of discrepancies in order frequency or demand.
Support handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Meet daily with key stakeholders, reviewing upcoming orders and calling out any potential risks.
Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages.
Recommend/coordinate overtime with production as needed.
Manage, use, and maintain ERP.
Committed to providing a safe food product.
Works within all regulatory requirements.
Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
Participate in operations/site projects.
Perform all other related duties as required.
