About The Position

Huntsman is seeking a Production Planner for the Advanced Materials Division at its Ashtabula, Ohio site. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and supports the site by developing and maintaining raw material and production plans that align operational activities with business objectives. The role balances production requirements, inventory levels, capacity constraints, and supply chain costs to support reliable product availability and efficient inventory management.

The Production Planner works with regional supply planners and teams across operations and logistics, monitors planning changes and their business impact, and tracks supply chain performance metrics. The role also supports environmental, health, and safety initiatives and requires compliance with company training programs. Regular presence at the workplace is required, with additional hours as needed to support production and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain function.
• Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Knowledge of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes.

Nice To Haves

• APICS certification.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a chemical, industrial, or related production environment.
• Experience tracking and reporting supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, DIO, and SLOB.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain raw material and production plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage inventory levels within targeted ranges to optimize inventory performance and minimize excess.
• Monitor and analyze short- and long-term production capacities and material constraints.
• Respond to planning changes and communicate operational and business impacts to key stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning activities with regional supply planners, operations, and logistics teams.
• Track, analyze, and report supply chain metrics, including OTIF, DIO, and SLOB.
• Support alignment across supply chain functions to ensure efficient execution of planning activities.
• Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives and comply with company-required training programs.
