About The Position

BorgWarner is expanding into the high-growth data center market, providing advanced power generation systems for AI-driven data centers and microgrid applications. This new hub will be at the heart of BorgWarner’s latest growth initiative, bringing together engineering, innovation, and technology in one dynamic space. As the Production Planner role, you will coordinate with our supply chain, production, operations, engineering, and customer service teams to develop and maintain the master production schedule and ensure alignment with business objectives. You will develop and execute the production plan, determining priorities and implementing strategies to optimize inventory and support plant operations. You will also collaborate closely with the supply chain function, taking into consideration forecasted demand for finished goods and requirements for semi-finished materials to ensure continuity of production and supply.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding planning and scheduling
  • Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks simultaneously
  • Working knowledge and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Working knowledge of MR/ERP systems and planning tools
  • Ability to communicate verbally and maintain concise and accurate written documentation
  • Effective listening skills are required
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • A certain degree of creativity, experience and judgment is required to plan and accomplish goals

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, and material availability
  • Manage and adjust production plans based on demand changes, material constraints, and operational priorities to ensure on-time production and delivery
  • Monitor production performance, open orders, and backlog, ensuring adherence to the production schedule and customer service targets
  • Identify and resolve production issues such as material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling conflicts, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Analyze capacity utilization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance workload and optimize production flow
  • Ensure timely release and execution of production orders in SAP, maintaining alignment with the production plan
  • Maintain accuracy of planning data within ERP/MRP systems, resolving exceptions and improving data integrity
  • Manage material requirements through production planning to support optimal inventory levels and minimize excess and obsolete stock
  • Develop and analyze reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and planning accuracy, driving continuous improvement of operational KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with supply chain, production, quality, and customer service to ensure alignment and issue resolution
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures
