About The Position

This role is responsible for creating and managing production schedules to meet customer demand, understanding manufacturing processes for efficiency, and analyzing capacity to identify constraints and optimization opportunities. The Production Planner will utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for planning, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support customer service excellence. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to make decisions with limited data while protecting business needs. The role also involves leading cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Required: Supply Chain Management or equivalent preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in production planning and/or supply chain or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain planning, forecasting, business planning or related function
  • Experience with advanced planning system
  • Experience in business analytics and reporting tools
  • Experience and functionality within Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and resourceful individual
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams; team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communication to the senior level management
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make decisions on a limited set of data
  • Ability to make executive decisions to protect business needs/strategies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly based off business or management needs

Nice To Haves

  • APICs certification a plus
  • Project leadership preferred
  • Operations experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage daily, weekly and yearly production schedules to support customer demand
  • Understand the manufacturing process on assigned production lines to ensure schedule efficiency.
  • Create and review capacity analysis to identify constraints or opportunities to better optimize planning
  • Exhibit knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to apply these tools for planning purposes
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while supporting service excellence to our customers.
  • Interpret data to support decision-making
  • Work through routine and non-routine situations in a fast-paced work environment
  • Develop and recommend process, system improvements
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
