About The Position
This position is responsible for the creation of shop orders and necessary shop packet documentation; schedules for and communicates production changes out to the shop floor.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in Production Planning.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with SAP system.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with coworkers regarding delivery information and coordination of production plan to shop floor.
- Review the MPS and MRP data and take appropriate actions required to issue, change or flag production orders to meet customer demand.
- Ensure that there is adequate lead time to complete orders released to the shop floor and help develop a plan for items that need to be scheduled with short lead times (expedite).
- Work with Process Technicians to ensure that the approval process triggers new specification so that production can start without delay.
- Perform other duties as required or requested.
