About The Position

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing production schedules to optimize efficiency, align resources, and ensure timely completion of production goals. This role involves utilizing ERP systems and planning software to develop and maintain master schedules, monitor daily production results, and revise schedules responsive to changes in materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. The scheduler will gather data from internal teams, incorporate material and resource availability into schedules, and work on production job completions and inventory reconciliations. A key aspect of this role is understanding production specifications, manufacturing processes, and materials availability to develop effective plans and report on results against the plan. Effective communication across cross-functional departments regarding production flow is essential. The role may require successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School diploma
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Decision-making skills

  • MS Office proficiency
  • High degree of Excel spreadsheet competency

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting.
  • Monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources.
  • Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules.
  • Work on production job completions and be involved in inventory reconciliations and reporting.
  • Utilizes knowledge of production specifications, manufacturing processes, materials availability, and application of mathematical planning tools to develop a plan.
  • Monitors status of production results and prepares reports on results against plan.
  • Provides effective communication across cross-functional departments as it pertains to production flow.
  • Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
