About The Position

The Production Planner II supports operational readiness and sustainment efforts for deployed and fielded systems by coordinating repair activities, material flow, maintenance actions, and logistics support across internal teams. This role serves as a liaison between Program Managers, logistics, maintenance, supply chain, and operational teams to ensure sustainment priorities, schedules, and repair efforts are effectively communicated and executed for CONUS and OCONUS operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 2-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or sustainment workflows.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Self-motivated and dependable with a proactive approach to task completion.
  • Requirement to complete Udemy Microsoft Project Training or equivalent within 3 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or relevant coursework in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Exposure to SolidWorks or Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
  • Experience in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Deltek, CostPoint).
  • Familiarity with the aerospace/manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sustainment, repair, and modification activities supporting CONUS and OCONUS operations.
  • Act as a liaison between Program Management, Maintenance, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operational teams to communicate priorities, schedules, material status, and repair progress.
  • Track aircraft availability, serialized components, repair status, and modification progress to support Sustainment operations and mission readiness.
  • Create, release, and manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) supporting sustainment, repair, refurbishment, and modification efforts.
  • Maintain and communicate sustainment schedules, repair timelines, aircraft status, and operational readiness updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support configuration planning and control of aircraft and payload systems to ensure approved mission required configurations, asset traceability, and configuration baselines are maintained.
  • Assist with submitting Purchase Requisitions and escalating material shortages, repair delays, or schedule risks that may impact aircraft readiness and delivery.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, inventory control, and production teams to track part availability, replenishment actions, and delivery schedules.
