About The Position

Under general supervision, the Production Painter applies industrial paint finishes onto metal products through spray gun application. This role is responsible for operating and setting up machinery, preparing materials, ensuring quality control, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a keen eye for detail, comfort with hands-on work, and a commitment to safety and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Load, feed, and unload material through paint process
  • Operate spray painter gun to apply industrial paint finish on material
  • Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools
  • Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed
  • Complete quality checks to ensure the correct thickness of paint is properly applied to material throughout the process and touch up as needed
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled and scanned upon exiting paint line
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  • Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices
