Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Coatings division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
  • Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely.
  • Ability to drive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal relationships.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the finished product is packed according to the item specifications.
  • Confirms the correct bag and labels are prepared and used correctly.
  • Monitors the sealing process and checks for any bags not sealed properly.
  • Ensures the product presentation is acceptable.
  • Sample procedures to ensure quality checks.
  • Attention to detail and record keeping.
  • Review and plan for the daily production schedule specific to your position.
  • Stage raw material (bags, supersacks) inventory.
  • Must be able to drive a fork truck.
  • Tracking and trending SPC charting for bag weights and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensures hourly metal detector checks are completed and documented.
  • Maintain a clean workspace during production and at the end of the shift.
  • Reports to the Lead Operator.
  • Report all Accidents and Near-Misses immediately.
  • Report all Maintenance issues to Lead Operator to enter into the Maintenance work order system.
  • Create positive relationships with coworkers.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
