About The Position

PPG is immediately hiring a Production Operator in Strongsville, OH. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring the quality and availability of our products for customers. The work directly impacts people's lives. We offer a starting pay of $22.52 per hour, with additional shift differentials for 2nd shift ($.65/hour) and 3rd shift ($.78/hour). We also offer a $1000 sign-on bonus. This position is available on the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) and 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am).

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day
3-5 years prior manufacturing or light industrial production experience
Ability to learn to operate large pieces of Powder manufacturing equipment (extruders and grinders)
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when required (gloves, steel toed boots, safety goggles, safety hat, and respirator)
Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

Prior powder coating experience
Tow motor/forklift experience or ability to obtain a license

Responsibilities

Blending (premixing) batches
Running extruders
Filling product into shipping containers
Sampling
5S cleaning
Measuring and producing raw materials to manufacture industrial coatings
Assembling and disassembling production equipment for cleaning between products while following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Weighing up materials for production batches according to preassembly weigh-up sheet instructions
Preparing materials and product for packaging and shipment to customers
Working in a production environment with appropriate safety procedures
