About The Position
The Production Operator works in the company’s food ingredients and bio-industrial business, helping provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies. The role involves monitoring and controlling processes, analyzing product samples, and troubleshooting process equipment and instrumentation. The operator coordinates maintenance, follows and helps develop procedures and practices, and completes and coordinates permits. The position supports efficient equipment operation, product quality, and personnel safety. It may also be known as Control Room Operator.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of forklift experience; forklift certification is not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must complete a background check and drug test.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must wear safety boots that cover the ankle.
- Shorts, sleeveless shirts, and jewelry are not allowed. Silicone wedding bands and medical alert bracelets are permitted.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control production processes.
- Perform product sampling and analysis.
- Troubleshoot process equipment and instrumentation and coordinate maintenance.
- Adhere to and contribute to the development of procedures, policies, and practices.
- Complete and coordinate permits.
- Help ensure efficient equipment operation, product quality, and the safety of all personnel.
- Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
