About The Position

Alexandria Industries is hiring a Production Operator for its extrusion press cell in Indianapolis, Indiana. The operator rotates through different stations and helps turn aluminum into finished parts that meet customer specifications. The company cross-trains employees so they can continue building new skills. This is a full-time, second-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., paying $19.00 to $25.48 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read die drawings and use measuring tools.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to use overhead cranes and lift trucks.
Self-starter who works well on a team.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; use team lifts or a crane for anything heavier.
Comfort working in a loud, warm production setting.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of the aluminum age cycle.

Responsibilities

Rotate through press cell stations, including stretchers, saw, wagon loading, and packing.
Set up and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect samples for surface finish, length, and tolerances.
Stack, stage, and load material for the age ovens.
Pack finished orders to customer specifications.
