About The Position

Alexandria Industries is hiring a Production Operator for its extrusion press cell in Indianapolis, Indiana. The operator rotates through press-cell stations and helps turn aluminum into finished parts that meet customer specifications. The company provides cross-training to support continued skill development. This is a full-time, second-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with pay of $19.00 to $25.48 per hour. The work takes place in a loud, warm production setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read die drawings and use measuring tools.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to use overhead cranes and lift trucks.
• Self-starter who works well on a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; team lifts or a crane are used for heavier items.
• Comfort working in a loud, warm production setting.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of the aluminum age cycle.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through press-cell stations, including stretchers, saw, wagon loading, and packing.
• Set up and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect samples for surface finish, length, and tolerances.
• Stack, stage, and load material for the age ovens.
• Pack finished orders to customer specifications.
