About The Position

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is an onsite role in Mebane, NC. The Production Operator will be responsible for conducting various types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems, or panels, including integrated packing. This involves reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions, performing work manually or with light hand tools, and operating machinery and equipment on the shop floor. The role also includes carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process, operating within standard operating procedures, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Using machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
