About The Position

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is an onsite role in Mebane, NC. The operator will conduct various types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems, or panels, including integrated packing. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical diagrams, performing manual work or using light hand tools, operating machinery and equipment on the shop floor, conducting regular quality testing as part of the production process, and operating within standard operating procedures while maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
