About The Position

Controls operation of single or multiple production machines for manufacturing products. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality products are consistently produced and shipped, meeting OE customer product requirements. The operator will be expected to rotate within the department as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and safety shoes must be worn on the manufacturing floor.
• With welding operations, full welding gear should be worn if exposed to welding flash, heat and sparks.

Responsibilities

• Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following blue prints or diagrams.
• Operates hand or power tools, or production equipment.
• Constant awareness of OE customer product requirements to ensure high quality products are consistently produced and shipped.
• Rotate within department as required.
• Other duties may be assigned.
