About The Position

Pall Corporation, a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification, is seeking a Production Operator for its Fiber/Web Department in Deland, FL. This on-site role is responsible for operating continuous furnaces and other production equipment to meet specification requirements. The position requires accurate paperwork and record-keeping, adherence to company policies and OSHA/EPA regulations, and the ability to work under the direction of supervisors. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining attendance, using protective equipment, collecting data for Engineering, and cross-training on various equipment to meet production schedules.

Requirements

High school degree (or equivalent degree) with prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Able to perform accurate record keeping and utilize basic math skills.
Able to use measuring equipment (calipers and micrometers) and test equipment.
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of 10 hours.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with Hazardous Chemicals.
Previous experience working with environmental regulations.
Previous experience working with steel microfibers in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Manipulate heavy wire and operate the continuous furnace.
Setup and operate all equipment to produce products to specification requirements.
Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel with little supervision.
Maintain an acceptable level of attendance and use protective equipment as required.
Maintain accurate records and logs and collect any necessary data for use by Engineering.
Cross train and/or work on any Fiber/Web equipment as necessary including Leach to meet schedule.
