About The Position

Huntsman is seeking a Production Operator supporting the Performance Products – Performance Specialties Division located in Conroe, Texas. This position will report to the EGU Unit Manager. Job Scope: To provide direct operational support for the new Advanced Technology Purification Unit. This role supports the manufacturing of high-purity and electronics-grade chemicals and requires a higher level of attention to detail and cleanliness in the handling and manufacture of these chemicals. Typical working hours are Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate degree in Process Operations/Technology with 3 years of relevant experience; or High school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of prior petrochemical plant experience.
  • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, email, and Microsoft programs.
  • Attentive to safety guidelines with the ability to work according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and works well with peers and management.
  • Accepts constructive feedback, helps identify problems and improvements, and demonstrates a desire to learn.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Begin, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging processes by using automatic liquid filler, stretch hooder, conveyor, labeling, and closure of packaged chemicals.
  • Begin, monitor, and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment for the production of high-purity chemicals.
  • Unload and load chemicals from tank trailers and ISO-containers.
  • Pull chemical samples using high-purity sample bottles and submit them to the lab for analysis.
  • Clean processing units following wash protocol and validate cleanliness by submitting samples for lab analysis.
  • Replenish consumable items in processing and packaging equipment (filters, stretch film, etc.).
  • Complete required documentation (batch records, logbooks, etc.) by following good manufacturing practices and ALCOA (Accurate, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Attributable) principles.
  • Navigate through SAP to perform various functions including inspection lot creation, production posting, raw material receipt, order picking, and label printing.
  • Perform housekeeping, safety inspections, and report results.
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist other employees in accomplishing Huntsman company goals.
  • Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
