About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an energetic and dependable entry-level, full-time Cast House Associate for a production environment in Barberton, OH. This role involves preparing, assembling, and installing casting materials and equipment, operating casting lines to cast aluminum billet, and inspecting cast ingot and scrap. Training will be provided for this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand all warning labels, JSA and MSDS
  • Ability to be Mobile Equipment Certified
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • 1 years manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 2 years work experience
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundry or casting experience is preferred
  • Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Charge furnace safely and control the furnace level per standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare the casting lines and filter boxes following standard or special operating procedures.
  • Visual inspection of all cast ingot.
  • Safely monitor and maintain cast lines per standard operating procedure.
  • Ship acceptable ingot per standard operating procedures.
  • Record operating data onto check sheets.
  • Make process adjustments.
  • Operate forklift when needed.
