About The Position

The Production Operator assembles products according to operator and inspection instructions while adhering to safety and quality requirements. The role operates assembly tools and machinery, performs basic equipment maintenance, and helps maintain production standards and a safe, clean work environment. The operator may work across different production areas and perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to perform basic math.
Basic understanding of the English language.
Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
Ability to meet production requirements by continuously working at a fast pace.
Ability to stand regularly while operating machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow the Colleague Guide, wear required safety equipment, and follow operator instructions without exception.
Assist with training new colleagues.
Perform SPC inspections, ultrasonic weld testing, press safety checks, and first-off, last-off, and hourly checks as required by job instructions.
Operate assembly tools and machinery as instructed.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and air tools.
Perform proper machinery start-up and shut-down procedures.
Perform rework as required and consistently meet production standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following 5S, safety, and environmental standards.
Assist with setting up presses and production lines.
Work as a member of the team and remain flexible to work in all production areas and perform other assigned tasks.
Ensure the quality of produced parts according to operator instructions.
Follow TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures.
Identify continuous-improvement ideas through AIT/RE.
