About The Position

This role is responsible for descaling coil and coating steel wire/rod so it can be annealed or processed in wire draw machines. Requirements

• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Overhead crane experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow Coil Safety at O&K American.
• Read, understand, and follow all production procedures for CH.
• Follow schedule for wire drawing, cleaning house, shipping, and annealing.
• Check all tags for grade, production and coil number, heat #, scanning tags.
• Inspection of coil coatings.
• Visual inspection of coils (coating, surface defects, packaging).
• Place coil on wire drawing stands.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Cleaning out tanks.
• Keep area clean and organized following 5s program.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
