The Screening Operator places a protective coating on the surface of the printed circuit board panel, exposing only holes and pads to allow solder to be selectively applied. The liquid photo imageable soldermask is screened onto a clean panel using a manual or automatic screening system. Screening Operators apply LPI soldermask and legend to the panels, expose and develop soldermask, and clean screens. The developing process removes unexposed soldermask to leave a clean surface for solder coating. Screening Operators process panels through the screening/soldermask operation per the designated written process Work Instructions. This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule of 3-11:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with initial training potentially requiring a different schedule.
