About The Position

This is a Safety Sensitive Position. The Production Operator will help operate lining and molding equipment, assist in performing order, color and material changes, and machine start-ups/shut-downs. Responsibilities include verifying raw materials, notifying supervisors of color change status, reporting substandard production quality, checking material status, and informing supervisors of machine problems. The role also involves cleaning machines and work areas, filling and emptying hoppers, segregating scrap material, covering for absences, following GMP guidelines, assisting in cap reintroduction, auditing and sorting product on Quality Hold, adhering to safety rules, and completing necessary documentation. Other responsibilities include attending Green Area Meetings, following Food Safety policies, sorting rejected cartons, and backing up the Mold Technician. The role may also involve building totes and hand stacking cartons.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

  • Inform supervisor/lead of substandard production quality.
  • Check material status and call for more materials if necessary.
  • Inform supervisor/lead of machine problems.
  • Clean machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc.
  • Clean filers and perform scheduled sanitation duties.
  • Fill and empty color and virgin hoppers.
  • Segregate scrap material.
  • Cover for absences/vacations on other shifts.
  • Follow all GMP guidelines.
  • Assist in cap reintroduction.
  • Audit and sort product that has been put on Quality Hold.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for all assigned machines.
  • Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM).
  • Build totes.
  • Hand stack cartons when necessary.
  • Attend Green Area Meetings.
  • Follow all Food Safety related policies and procedures.
  • Follow all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Sort through and visually inspect rejected cartons.
  • Backup Mold Technician.
