The Production Operator supports the safe and efficient manufacturing of solar panels by operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following established processes and quality standards. Production Technicians ensure production lines run smoothly, identify issues quickly, and contribute to a safe and high-performing workplace.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, equipment operation, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment interfaces.
  • Reliability, integrity, and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust automated and semi-automated production equipment to maintain consistent product quality and output.
  • Perform visual inspections of materials and finished products, identifying defects and escalating issues when needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including performing routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and identifying quality risks.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
  • Assist with material handling, loading and unloading, and line changeovers as required.
  • Support training efforts by sharing knowledge, demonstrating processes, and assisting new associates.
