We operate in a fully air-conditioned facility, multiple shifts Monday-Thursday (standard "4/10" schedule) with overtime as needed on Fridays and/or Saturdays. We are currently seeking Production Operators / Feeder Set up who are interested in building components essential to aerospace, defense, medical and commercial applications. Employees perform routine and/or repetitive operations in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures or methods. This position may require frequent movement throughout the manufacturing operation. As a Production Operator you will assemble, disassemble, solder, and repair electronic assemblies in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures or methods. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
  • Ability to add and subtract fractions and decimals using direct reading, gauges, rulers and scales.
  • Must be quality conscious and possess ability to meet production and quality standards.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and/or interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must maintain ESD Precautions Standards certification in areas/facilities where required.
  • Must be able to pass J-STD certification course and maintain solder certification to operate certain pieces of equipment.
  • May be required to have previous experience with hand tool operation.
  • May require entry to mid-level computer skills.
  • May be required to lift to 25 lbs. as required by the job task.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload auto-insertion equipment feeders (SMT, Axial, etc.).
  • Maintain machines and equipment used in the assigned function.
  • Use computers and other job-related computer equipment as well as proprietary software and ERP/MRP software.
  • Requisition articles to fill incoming orders and cut stock to size to fill order.
  • Mark identifying codes, figures or letters on articles.
  • Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules).
  • Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (pwa), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
  • Handle, mix and test hazardous chemicals.
  • Perform inspection tasks.
  • Kit and pack printed wiring board assemblies.
  • Initiate and maintain accurate paperwork and records as required by job.
  • Responsible for daily cleanup of all assigned work areas.
  • Interact with computer to enter/extract data.
  • All other duties as assigned.
